Insurer to sponsor Forbes.com section

The Milwaukee Business Journal reported Tuesday that Northwestern Mutual, one of the country’s largest life insurance companies, will sponsor a new section on Forbes.com called “Fact & Comment with Steve Forbes.”

The Journal reports, “The new section runs within the Opinions channel and is an extension of Forbes’ chairman and editor-in-chief Steve Forbes’ magazine column, Fact & Comment, Forbes and Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual announced Tuesday. The section appears at www.forbes.com/fact-and-comment.

“Fact & Comment online will include editorial features and multimedia content covering topics such as emerging markets, the importance of innovation, key components of leadership and economic issues. Northwestern Mutual is the exclusive sponsor of this new section.

“‘The partnership between Forbes and Northwestern Mutual is a natural fit,’ said Edward Zore, who is chairman and CEO of Northwestern Mutual. ‘Both of us have an interest in delivering knowledge, guidance and resources to people, enabling them to better understand their financial reality and, ultimately, achieve financial security.'”

  • Every time I've seen Steve Forbes, he was sharp and quick. It will be interesting to see how this section turns out and if the close tie with a single life insurer will have any impact on the viewpoints in the publication. Thanks for pointing this out.
