Business Insider senior correspondent Kate Taylor is joining the features team at Insider.

She has been covering fast food, restaurants and retail.

Taylor has been with the company since October 2015. She previously was with Entrepreneur magazine covering franchises, with a focus on chain restaurants, food trends and various other aspects of entrepreneurship.

She interned at Forbes and ForbesWomen.

Taylor is a Dartmouth College graduate.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
