Katherine Long has joined Insider to cover Amazon with chief tech correspondent Eugene Kim.
Long began writing about Amazon as a business reporter for The Seattle Times last year. Previously, she reported on real estate and the ports for that publication.
Long graduated from Columbia Journalism School’s investigative reporting program in 2019, before which she freelanced from Central Asia, Turkey and Cyprus and worked as a researcher for The New York Times and Vox Media.
Long is part of Insider’s growing Big Tech news team, which covers the world’s most powerful companies, entrepreneurs and technologies.
“I’m thrilled to welcome a reporter with such valuable investigative skills,” said Alistair Barr, deputy technology editor at Insider. “We will continue to recruit top journalists to cover beats including Asia tech, AI, and other key fields.”
