Insider has hired April Joyner as a reporter to cover venture capital and startups.
She will start later this month.
Joyner is currently a markets correspondent at Reuters, where she focuses on U.S. stocks. She has written on occasion about the homebuilding and retail industries.
Previously, she was a senior reporter at Inc. magazine, and she has also contributed to Technical.ly Brooklyn, Fast Company, Marie Claire, The New Yorker, OZY, and The Week.
Joyner is a Yale University graduate.
