I’m excited to announce a few big hires in INSIDER’s New York newsroom. Please join me in welcoming…
Walter Hickey, who returns to Insider Inc. as INSIDER’s Senior Editor, Data. In this new role, Walt will be working with editors across the site to publish exclusive story packages on tons of subjects, from politics to weddings.
Walter returns to the fold after a stint at 538. He made a name for himself as a data journalist at Business Insider back in 2012, and still holds the record for the most-viewed BI slideshow of all time.
Anthony Fisher, who joins us as INSIDER’s politics editor. Anthony comes from The Week, where he was a senior editor. He was previously a producer for Buzzfeed’s news show “AM to DM,” and has won several reporting awards including an LA Press Club award for his investigation of the death of a 20-year-old confidential informant.
Julia Naftulin, who is coming on board as a health reporter. She joins us from http://health.com , where she’s been an associate editor. You may recognize Julia from her brief internship on BI’s tech desk back in 2016!
Ellen Cranley, an intern on our news team who is joining INSIDER full-time as a weekend reporter.
More to come soon!
