Hugh Holub, 65, who wrote an opinion column and was a regular blogger for Inside Tucson Business, died Monday after a bout with pneumonia.
A story on Inside Tucson Business states, “He had been diagnosed with pneumonia about three weeks ago, which was brought under control with antibiotics but then he had a flare-up last week and was airlifted from his Tubac home to the hospital over the weekend, according to his daughter, Annie Holub.
“An attorney, Holub was an expert on water issues. During his life he interned with U.S. Rep. Morris K. Udall, worked for the City of Tucson Attorney’s office and the Pima County Attorney’s Office under Dennis DeConcini. In addition to running his own law firm, he was an attorney for the City of Nogales.
“Besides his legal career, Holub’s writing included being a reporter for the Tucson Citizen newspaper and he was the editor and publisher of an online satirical publication, called The Frumious Bandersnatch.”
