Illinois paper hires new biz reporter

The Galesburg Register-Mail in Illinois has hired Jane Huh to be its new business reporter. She replaces former business editor John Pulliam.

Editor Tom Martin writes, “She has four years of daily newspaper experience, working at the Springfield News-Leader in Springfield, Mo., before taking a job at the Post-Tribune of Northwest Indiana. She’s done internships at Copley News Service in Springfield, the Indianapolis Star and twice with the Daily Herald based in Arlington Heights.

“She’s a graduate of Southern Illinois University and the Public Affairs Reporting graduate program at the University of Illinois-Springfield.

“Jane covers the business beat and writes stories for the Sunday Business section under the direction of Assignments Editor Lisa Coon. She also will contribute a variety of news and features stories to The R-M.”
