HuffPo business sets record for visitors

Emily Peck, the managing editor if Huffington Post business, sent out the following email to its staff on Monday:

Last week, I sent around a different congratulatory email, saying that biz hit a new record in social referrals in November. Now I’m back with more amazingness! November Business traffic hit an all-time high of 20.6 million uniques, obliterating our previous record of 14.7 million back in May.

We got to this place by producing original, quality stories — that includes a mix of reporter pieces, viral listicles, in-one charticles, and some really smart aggregation. Yes, traffic can be a bit wild and capricious. However, sometimes it reveals a simple truth: People like to read and share good stories. Below I’ve included a curated sample of some good stuff from last month.

We’ll soon be celebrating! Thanks to you all for your great work.
