The Houston Business Journal has named Laura Furr its new data reporter.
A story on its website states, “Furr previously served as a web editor for HBJ, mainly in charge of producing content for the Morning Edition email. In her new role, Furr will oversee HBJ’s weekly Lists, as well as the annual Book of Lists. Furr will also report breaking news on the data found from putting together the List.
“The HBJ’s Lists are some of the most well-read items produced at the HBJ. Furr succeeds Madison Henry, who has returned to her hometown of Atlanta.
“‘Laura’s background with data analytics makes her the perfect fit for this job,’ said Giselle Greenwood, editor-in-chief. ‘Moreover, she knows what our readership is interested in, having been in a reporter role before. We’re excited to have her on board.’
“Furr will be instrumental in surveying companies with Houston operations to ensure readers get the most recent data available.”
