Hitt to cover money, labor and billionaires for The Daily Beast

Tarpley Hitt

The Daily Beast reporter Tarpley Hitt is now covering money, labor and billionaires.

She previously was a culture reporter and has been at The Daily Beast since July 2018.

Hitt has been the managing editor of The Drift, a culture and politics publication, and has worked at The Miami New Times, the Miami Herald and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from Harvard University.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill.
