Dan Hirschhorn has been hired by Barron’s to be its managing editor for news.
He started on Monday.
Hirschhorn will lead daily digital programming and news planning for Barron’s, reporting to editor Katherine Bell and working closely with the other editors and the audience team.
Most recently, Hirschhorn was the director of news at Time and Time Inc., where over the course of five years he built Time’s first-ever digital news desk and expanded it to serve more than a dozen Time Inc. brands.
Earlier in his career he was a political reporter for Politico and The Daily, and his work has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Post.
