Macaela J. Bennett, a business reporter at the Hearst Connecticut Media papers, writes about the podcast she has started called Rally that focuses on how business have overcome challenges.
Bennett writes, “Every week for the next month, you’ll find a new episode of Rally available in Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, SoundCloud and anywhere you find your podcasts. You can subscribe on those platforms to have the latest Rally episode delivered to your phone.
“Each episode will tell one businessperson’s story of things going awry — from filing for bankruptcy to feeling lost after giving up a high-powered legal career. At the end of the season, you’ll even hear from the former publisher of the Stamford Advocate and Greenwich Time, when the former Times Mirror Co. owned the newspapers. He’ll talk about his experience working with these papers more than 20 years ago as well as watching the rise and fall of New York Newsday, which he helped create.
“I hope these anecdotes of facing failure and bouncing back will serve as inspiration. On Rally’s first episode, you can hear snippets of some of the stories that will publish later on as well as a teenage entrepreneur’s realization that failing is not only OK, but necessary to success.”
