Taylor Hartz, breaking news reporter covering crime, courts, community, the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement at The Day in New London, Connecticut, will be leaving to join the Hartford Courant as a criminal justice reporter.
Previously, she was a freelance multimedia reporter at the Chicago Tribune Media Group.
She was also an intern and later a digital content producer at the Chicago Sun-Times. Additionally, Hartz was also an intern at The New Republic and The Washington Post. She was also a Washington correspondent at the Cape Cod Times.
Hartz has a B.S. in journalism from Boston University and an M.A. in journalism and public affairs from American University.
