Greensboro retail reporter takes on "Savvy Shopper" column

Michelle Jarboe, who joined the Greensboro News & Record last year, is taking over the “Savvy Shopper” column from Amy Joyner. Jarboe already has the retail beat for the newspaper.

Joyner said in Sunday’s column that she’s stepping away from the column because she has two book projects that are due later this year and she’s due to give birth in September.

Joyner writes, “You’re in good hands with Michelle. Though a newcomer to Greensboro, she’s already tapped into the local retail market. And what’s more, the girl knows how to shop and where to find a bargain.

“She’s well qualified to keep you informed about what’s happening in the local retail trade.”
