Globe & Mail reporter Berkow departs for new cannabis publication

Globe and Mail business reporter Jameson Berkow has left the organization and joined Canopy Rivers Inc.

There, he holds the post of the founding editor-in-chief of The Rise, a new media outlet covering entrepreneurship in legal cannabis markets globally.

He has also worked as a reporter at both Bell Media and the National Post Inc. He was also the editorial intern at the Toronto Life Magazine. Recently, he was the senior reporter for BNN Bloomberg where he led live daily coverage of major business news.

His series of reports from Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2015 was a finalist for the RTDNA Dave Rogers Award.

Berkow holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Queen’s University.
