Glancey named WSJ deputy editor for newsroom standards

Christine Glancey

Neal Lipschutz, the editor overseeing ethics and standards at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following announcement on Monday:

I am pleased to announce Christine Glancey has joined the ethics and standards team. Christine brings deep and varied news experience at The Wall Street Journal to her new role as deputy editor, newsroom standards.

Christine will report to me.

Christine’s most recent position at the Journal was deputy managing editor for news operations and talent, a post she held for nearly two years. Christine has held a number of other important news leadership roles here, including deputy national editor, global copy chief and managing editor of WSJ Asia, for which she was based in Hong Kong. Christine led news at WSJ.com from 2009 to 2013 and served as the Journal’s first training editor.

Christine has a master’s degree from Columbia University in literature and an undergraduate degree in journalism from St. John’s University. She also is a certified executive coach.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Christine in this important role.
