Financial Times has appointed Sam Joiner as visual stories editor.
He will be joining the award-winning FT Data team with a brief to help the publication deliver news and analysis in groundbreaking new formats.
Previously, he held the post of interactives and new formats editor. Before that, he served as an interactive journalist.
Prior to FT, Joiner was a news editor at Microsoft. He has also worked as an editorial assistant/digital marketing assistant and as a digital editor at Anova Books.
Joiner was also a work placement, sports desk at Guardian News and Media. He also held the posts of content and production editor – International edition and reporter and production editor at the publication.
He has also worked at BBC and Telegraph Media Group.
Joiner is a graduate of University of Bristol.
