FT hires Moise as U.S. banking correspondent

Imani Moise

The Financial Times announced Wednesday that it has appointed Imani Moise to the role of U.S. banking correspondent.

She will cover Wall Street’s biggest banks as well as the other major financial institutions that drive the agenda in the world’s financial capital. Moise starts April 1.

“Imani is a remarkably talented reporter who already has a sterling track record of holding some of the most powerful banks in the U.S. to account,” said Peter Spiegel, U.S. managing editor of the FT. “We are thrilled to welcome her to our New York team. Her nose for scoops and ability to report on the ways bank policies impact everyday Americans will be essential additions to what we can offer our core readership.”

Prior to joining the FT, Moise was a finance reporter for Reuters News, covering some of the largest banks in the U.S. and their impact on the domestic and global economy. Before that, she was a breaking news reporter for the Wall Street Journal, where she also completed an internship, covering the business of shipping, tobacco and retail.

Moise is a graduate of Duke University, where she completed a bachelors in public policy.
