Fortune names Griffith to take over Term Sheet

Fortune editor Alan Murray sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:

Fortune Team,

I am pleased to announce that senior writer Erin Griffith will take over Term Sheet, our daily newsletter on deals and dealmakers.

Erin’s regular “Boom with a View” columns in the magazine have served as an incisive, smart, and entertaining exploration of the intersection of technology and finance. Her strong voice is a perfect match for the daily rhythm of the most widely read newsletter in our rapidly growing portfolio. Erin’s Term Sheet reign begins Wednesday. She will be assisted by reporter Laura Entis.

But wait, there’s more. Erin also is joining the leadership team of Brainstorm Tech, our annual technology conference in Aspen. She’ll work alongside editorial director Adam Lashinsky and fellow co-chairs Michal Lev-Ram and Andrew Nusca. Last year’s event was a smash success, and I’m confident this year’s conference will be even better with Erin’s formal involvement.

Please join me in congratulating her on her two new roles.

Alan
