Fortune magazine has estimated presidential candidate Donald Trump’s net worth at $3.7 billion, below his $10 billion estimate, and used an unflattering photo on the cover, reports Keith Kelly of the New York Post.
Kelly writes, “To illustrate the story, Fortune Editor Alan Murray purchased an 8-year-old photo that seems to show The Donald flipping the bird while talking on the phone. The middle finger is clearly extended in the universal “f–k you” sign.
“Fortune said the photo, purchased from Contour by Getty Images, was taken in 2008 by photographer Gillian Laub.
“Trump did not respond to questions about the photo — a spokeswoman said he had not seen it.
“He was a bit more vocal about the mag’s take on his wealth.
“He told Fortune — and repeated to Media Ink — ‘Fortune has no idea what my assets are or the value of these assets. Nor do they understand or know my cash flow or the many successful transactions that make up my cash flow. Fortune has totally lost its way.'”
