Forbes announced Thursday that it is relaunching its Argentine edition next month with a new partner.
The new partner is Global Brands Media. Its founder, Alex Milberg, served as editor-in-chief of Argentina’s previous edition of Forbes.
Forbes had originally launched in Argentina in October 2011 in partnership with DRP, a division of Grupo 23.
Virginia Porcella, former editor of Emprende (Endeavor), Fortuna and BAEnewspaper, will serve as Forbes Argentina’s editor. The editorial content of Forbes Argentina will consist of local business news, commentary and features, as well as editorial content from Forbes magazines from around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Spain and Brazil.
“This edition reestablishes our presence in Argentina at a time of new excitement in the economy there,” said Mike Federle, president and COO of Forbes Media, in a statement. “This is just the beginning of our strategy to expand in the important Latin American market.”
Forbes has 37 licensed editions, including places such as Africa, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, India, Indonesia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Middle East, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
