Forbes Life plans to increase its issues from six a year to 10 a year, according to an item from MIN Online.
However, longtime editor Chris Buckley‘s role is apparently decreasing to editor at large.
MIN Online reported, “He, like his late father, has a myriad of interests (Chris’ best-selling novels include Thank You for Smoking and The White House Mess), and he wants the time to be in the ‘trenches’ while still writing for FL. William F. Buckley, Jr.’s February 27 passing was not a factor, because Chris’ decision was made about 10 days before. (Memorial service for WFB will be held on April 4 at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral.)
“New FL editor Gary Walther was founding editor of the U.S. Departures in 1989 (an upscale demographic match to FL) and subsequently led Worth and Luxury Spafinder, which recently went Web-only. New FL vp/group publisher Meredith Kopit (ex-02138 publisher) succeeds now-Diversified Private Equities Corp. managing director Jack Laschever.”
