Forbes launches biz news service for mobile phones

Business magazine Forbes has launched a service where customers can receive business news and information from its Web site on mobile phones.

HTMLPrimer.com reported, “The new Forbes.com Mobile service offers real-time accessibility to intra-site search functionality, breaking news, global business news, stock quotes, tearsheet data, charts, Forbes.com lists and more. Microsoft Windows Mobile is the premiere Forbes.com Mobile sponsor.

“Forbes.com Mobile can be accessed using any Web-enabled mobile browser (both HTML and WAP) and is free to use. Additionally, the platform incorporates a mobile advertising engine that integrates sponsor images and interstitial offers.

“’In this digital information age, we’re pleased to continue to offer senior business executives every option to access key business news and information anytime, in any format and in any place,’ said Jim Spanfeller, President and CEO, Forbes.com.”
