Investors trust the financial media more in the United States than in the rest of the world, according to a survey by Natixis Global Asset Management.
In the United States, 62 percent trust the financial media at least somewhat, but only 10 percent completely trust the financial media.
Globally, 57 percent of investors trust the financial media at least somewhat, and only 6 percent have complete trust in the financial media.
Investors trust their financial advisors, themselves, financial rating agencies and financial institutions more than the financial media. Financial media did rank ahead of social media in terms of trust.
The survey included 8,300 global investors and 750 in the United States with a minimum of $100,000 in investable assets.
