Katy Stech Ferek has joined the business and policy reporting team in The Wall Street Journal’s D.C. bureau, where she’ll cover general assignment news with a focus on China, national security and foreign investment.
She covered corporate and personal bankruptcy for the paper since 2011.
Prior to that, she covered business news for The Charleston (S.C.) Post and Courier and interned at Newsday, The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and The Duluth (Minn.) News Tribune, her beloved hometown paper.
She is a Syracuse University graduate.
