Trevor Cadigan, an intern at Business Insider until earlier this year, was among the five people who died when a helicopter crashed into the East River in New York on Sunday.
Cadigan worked at Business Insider’s weekly show The Bottom Line. For the show, he created graphics and pitched content to be covered in each week’s episode.
Business Insider CEO and founder Henry Blodget sent out the following note to the staff:
Team,
We received some devastating news this morning.
A former intern at Business Insider, Trevor Cadigan, was one of the five people who died in a helicopter crash in New York City yesterday.
Trevor was an intern on our video team for several months in late 2017 and early 2018. He joined us after graduating from Southern Methodist University. He was a smart, talented, and ambitious young journalist and producer who was well-liked and made a big contribution to our team. Our hearts go out to Trevor’s family and friends.
I know that many of you who worked with Trevor may want to reach out to his family. We will share details as soon as we have them.
Henry
