Larry Edelman, a managing editor at Bloomberg News based out of Boston, has accepted a new job at The Wall Street Journal.
Edelman is now senior deputy editor of finance for The Journal, according to his LinkedIn page.
Edelman spent nine years at Bloomberg where he oversaw investing and real estate coverage globally.
Edelman joined Bloomberg in January 2005 and served as investing team leader until October 2009, directing coverage of hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds. Previously, he was second vice president-investor relations at John Hancock Financial Services, where he worked on the company’s 2000 initial public offering.
Edelman spent 10 years at The Boston Globe as a reporter and, from 1994-2000, business editor. He also was a technology reporter at Reuters in New York.
He is a 1983 graduate from Cornell University.
