Matthew Holehouse, a reporter on the MLex Brexit service, has been hired by The Economist.
He will start next month and be based in London.
At MLex, he covered the UK side of the negotiations surrounding the UK’s extraction from the European Union, joining a team of journalists in London and Brussels covering the regulatory and political landscape.
Holehouse previously worked as Westminster political correspondent for the Daily Telegraph.
Holehouse has won the prestigious British Journalism Awards 2018 for Specialist Media for his coverage of the Brexit negotiations.
