Dow Jones & Co., the parent of The Wall Street Journal and Marketwatch.com, has sold Internet news syndicator Screaming Media to YellowBrix for an undisclosed amount, reports David Benoit of Dow Jones Newswires.
Benoit writes, “YellowBrix, which offers real-time information and content services to clients, will acquire the product lines, customers and content services of Screaming Media, a gatherer of news and business data for corporate clients and subscribers.
“Financial terms of the deal weren’t released.
“YellowBrix Chief Executive Jeff Massa said the two companies have some of the same clients and would integrate very easily. He added that the technology Screaming Media has developed should work well with YellowBrix’s own analysis and content tools.”
