Dow Jones Newswires has hired Greg Bensinger from Bloomberg News to cover telecom and technology.

Bensinger replaces Roger Cheng, who left last month for a job with CNET.

Bensinger has a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia.

While at Bloomberg, Bensinger covered business news media stories such as the sale of BusinessWeek by McGraw-Hill and The Wall Street Journal’s circulation growth and addition of regional issues.
