Dow Jones hires Bensinger to replace Cheng
TALKING BIZ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Dow Jones Newswires has hired Greg Bensinger from Bloomberg News to cover telecom and technology.
Bensinger replaces Roger Cheng, who left last month for a job with CNET.
Bensinger has covered telecom for the past 14 months. Before that, he covered the newspaper industry for 18 months and the auto industry for three years and 10 months.
Bensinger has a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia.
While at Bloomberg, Bensinger covered business news media stories such as the sale of BusinessWeek by McGraw-Hill and The Wall Street Journal’s circulation growth and addition of regional issues.
This may be the first time I’ve ever seen anyone care a whit about who replaces who at Dow Jones Newswires, let alone Bloomberg or Reuters.
