Bloomberg terminal subscribers will now receive Dow Jones news stories, according to an agreement between the two companies.

The content includes Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, and WSJ Pro verticals, as well as News Corp’s The New York Post.

“We are continuously working to streamline access to the news and information sources that our customers need,” said Ted Merz, global head of news product for Bloomberg, in a statement. “We’re making a significant investment to provide Dow Jones content in our aggregated news services to add even more value to the Bloomberg terminal.”

Bloomberg initially carried Dow Jones content when it first launched, but Dow Jones dropped Bloomberg in the early 1990s when the fledgling news service became more of a competitor.

“This agreement will significantly extend the reach and impact of Dow Jones’ trusted, high-quality journalism, enabling us to reach a larger total audience,” said Chris Lloyd, head of Dow Jones’ professional information business. “Giving customers the ability to access our content from within the Bloomberg Terminal service will greatly enhance the user experience, while supporting their trading and investing strategies.”
