The Detroit Free Press, which earlier this month cut its stock listings, stated in Friday’s paper that it would bring back its two-page listing of weekly stock prices on Saturday after reader complaints.
Randy Essex, the business editor, wrote, “It will appear each Saturday in response to many readers’ concerns about the need to find market information in print in the Free Press as well as online.
“Tuesday through Friday, the Free Press offers a condensed report in print that includes 480 mutual funds, stocks in the automotive sector, other stocks of local interest and other market summaries.
“You can also check stock prices any time at www.freep.com. Search for ‘Check your stocks.’ And you can get updated prices, free, by calling 800-555-8355.”
