Details on Cincinnati daily biz desk management

The Cincinnati Enquirer published a story Sunday about the naming of Josh Pichler as its executive business editor, which Talking Biz News reported last month, but also provided some other details about what’s happening on its business news desk.

The story states that Pichler “will be responsible for all business news operations, with special focus on meeting strategic digital and print coverage goals, launching new digital initiatives and even more visible community outreach.

“Business editor Lee Ann Hamilton will continue to be responsible for daily operations of the Business section.

“‘Josh has done a great job in every challenge he’s taken on at The Enquirer,’ said publisher Margaret E. Buchanan. ‘We look forward to watching his continued growth in leading our business coverage.’

“Pichler, who has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Montana, is pursuing an executive MBA at Xavier University.”
