Desert Sun newspaper seeks stock market experts

Here’s a unique way to find business news sources for newspaper stories — advertise for them.

That’s what the Desert Sun, the newspaper in Palm Springs, Calif., did in Wednesday’s paper.

Here is the notice: “The stock markets have experienced a great deal of volatility in recent months after a 44-month bull run. What’s happening and what should investors do?

“The Desert Sun is looking for some Coachella Valley stock market experts who can from time to time help give helpful advice for our readers.

“If you’d like to be considered, please send an e-mail with your background, qualifications and a sample paragraph of the kind of advice you’d give to our business editor at dennis.britton@thedesertsun.com.”
