Time to enter the Society of American Business Editors and Writers‘ Best in Business contest is running out.
Entries must be completed by 5 p.m. Central time on Friday, Jan. 30. Daily and weekly newspaper General Excellence entries must be postmarked by that day.
But don’t wait until Friday to enter. Here are two important things you need to know:
1. If you plan to enter one of the six online categories, please send SABEW an e-mail at sabew@missouri.edu by Wednesday, Jan. 28 and let SABEW know your name if you’re an individual member or the name of your publication if you’re an institutional member.
SABEW needs to tweak the online categories’ entry form to include your paper. If you don’t contact SABEW by Wednesday and are having trouble entering, contact SABEW at www.sabew.org or (573) 882-7862  before the 5 p.m. Central time, Jan. 30 deadline.
2. In order to complete the entry process for any News, Online or General Excellence category you must be a SABEW member. The last day to verify current membership or become a member is Thursday, Jan. 29. Go here to check your membership.Â
