Cory Earl has been named market president and publisher of Dayton Business Journal.

Editor in chief Caleb Stephens writes, “He succeeds Don Baker, who was recently named market president and publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal, a sister publication.

“A native of northern Ohio, Earl began his career with American City Business Journals an account executive with the Dayton Business Journal in 2010. He was twice named to ACBJ’s Chairman’s Club for sales excellence — and promoted to senior account executive — before leaving in 2015 to work in business development for an ad agency and the Better Business Bureau in Dayton.

“He returned to the Dayton Business Journal in 2017 to become advertising director. His sales team won Eagle awards in 2018 and 2019.

“‘The Dayton-area business climate is strong and it’s only getting better,’ Earl said. ‘The success the DBJ team has had over the last few years is something I look forward to continuing. While I have big shoes to fill, we have a great team and I couldn’t be more excited to lead them.'”
