Dallas Morning News looking for econ reporter

The Dallas Morning News is looking for an experienced business reporter to cover the economy of Dallas-Fort Worth, the fourth-largest U.S. metro area.

The reporter should have a good grasp of economic data, a talent for finding trend stories in the numbers and the ability to humanize the stories through people and companies in the economy’s crosshairs.

The job requires reporting news stories when data is released, researching economic graphics, blogging frequently, building relationships with a community of local economists, and writing frequent enterprise stories that capture real-life experiences and a strength for explaining the complexities of the recovery.

Also, the reporter will be responsible for covering the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

The paper is looking for someone with at least five years experience covering business or the economy.
