Crain’s New York Business has hired Brian Pascus as a general assignment and politics reporter.
He’s a 32-year-old reporter who most recently published national news and investigative pieces at CBSNews.com. He graduated from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in 2018, where he earned a master’s degree, and the University of Maryland in 2009, where he earned a bachelor’s Degree in history, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
As an editorial intern on Business Insider’s transportation team, he reported on the aviation and automotive industries. During his time at CBS News, he wrote breaking news pieces, global news explainers, live-blogs, obituaries, sports and science posts, and led an investigative unit’s coverage of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged financial crimes and death.
Prior to switching careers into journalism, he sold residential real estate in Manhattan for six years.
