ACBJ taps Hardison as national ME

Kathryn Hardison

American City Business Journals, which operates more than 40 business news publications, has named Kathryn Hardison as national managing editor.

She had been managing editor at The Austin Business Journal.

Hardison had covered economic development for the Austin publication from September 2020 to March 2022 and then was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal for a year. She also worked as a reporter for the Springfield Business Journal.

Hardison is a graduate of the University of Missouri. She worked for the Columbia Missourian while in college.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
