Crain’s Detroit Business has hired Nick Manes to cover technology and finance.
He will start after the first of the year.
Manes is currently a reporter for the Advance papers in West Michigan, covering business and labor, health care and the safety net. Earlier this year, he was named “Media Person of the Year” by the West Michigan Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
He previously spent six years as a reporter at MiBiz covering commercial real estate, economic development and all manner of public policy at the local and state levels. His byline also has appeared in Route Fifty and The Daily Beast.
