Columbus Dispatch hires Henry as biz reporter

Megan Henry

The Columbus Dispatch has hired Megan Henry as a business reporter.

Henry is currently doing general assignment business news but will have a beat likely assigned to her in the next month.

She is a May 2018 graduate of Ohio University and spent last fall interning on the Dispatch’s public affairs desk through the E.W.Scripps School of Journalism’s Statehouse News Bureau program. She also interned on metro desk during summer 2017.

“I am very excited to be back working at The Columbus Dispatch and excited to dive into the world of business journalism,” said Henry.

This summer, she worked as a general assignment reporter on the metro desk at the Indianapolis Star.

She also freelanced for the Athens Messenger during her senior year at Ohio.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
