CNNMoney.com was the No. 1 destination site for the month of February in the financial news & information category with 9.2 million unique users, according to Nielsen numbers released Tuesday.
CNNMoney.com topped other sites in the financial news & information category, beating Reuters (7.9 million unique users), Wall Street Journal online (6.8 million unique users), Forbes.com (6.5 million unique users) and CNBC.com (4.8 million unique users).
According to this Wall Street Journal story, CNNMoney.com lagged behind Forbes.com and Dow Jones sites in visitors in January. It is also behind the general business sites such as Yahoo! Finance and AOL Money & Finance.
Last week, the Web site unveiled eight new online business shows. They include a twice-a-week segment called ‘Help Desk,’ which answers personal-finance questions, and ‘Conscious Capitalism,’ a weekly show on corporate philanthropy. Another, ‘New Money,’ features young entrepreneurs.
