Chicago Daily Law Bulletin hires Hanis as editor

The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Media has tapped award-winning journalist Andrea Hanis as its top editor.

In her new role, Hanis will be directing the newsroom’s digital expansion to align with the company’s growth goals.

Previously, she was an editorial writer at Chicago Tribune Media Group.

Before that, she has held the posts of planning editor, business; editor, Blue Sky Innovation; and Marketplace editor, Blue Sky Innovation, RedEye, Metromix.

She was also an assistant managing editor at Crain’s Chicago Business and a travel editor at Chicago Sun-Times.

Hanis has a B.A. in journalism and history from Indiana University Bloomington.
