Robyn Tomlin has transitioned into a new role and is now VP, local news at McClatchy.
Recently, she was president and editor at The News & Observer in Raleigh
Before that, she was Southeast regional editor | executive editor at News & Observer. She was also editor, McClatchy Carolinas regional editor.
Tomlin has also served as VP/managing editor at The Dallas Morning News and was chief digital officer and then VP, digital and communications at Pew Research Center. She has also taught at Georgetown University.
Tomlin has also held editorial roles at Digital First Media, StarNews, Star-Banner and TimesDaily/NYT Co.
She was also director of content innovation at The New York Times.
She has also written and edited for Asheville Citizen-Times and was a staff writer at North Hills News Record.
Tomlin has a B.A. in journalism and mass communication from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
