Megan Cassella, an economics and politics reporter for Reuters in Washington, is leaving the news agency for a job at Politico.
At Politico, Cassella will cover international trade.
Washington bureau chief Kevin Krolicki and deputy bureau chief Kevin Drawbaugh sent out the following announcement on Friday:
Her last day will be Monday, June 13. Megan has become a valuable member of the Speed Team and has made big contributions to our campaign and data coverage. She has accepted an offer to go to work at Politico. We will miss her, but wish her well as she pursues her career in journalism.
Cassella graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she studied business journalism. She interned on the business desk of the Charlotte Observer and worked at The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper.
