David Danzis, who has covered the casino industry for The Press of Atlantic City, is leaving the paper on Friday.
He will start Monday at Play NJ, covering casino and gambling news.
“I am excited for a new chapter but saddened to be closing another,” he wrote on Twitter.
Danzis joined The Press in early 2018. He formerly worked as a politics and government reporter for the New Jersey Herald and received the First Amendment: Art Weissman Memorial NJPA Award two years in a row.
He’s a graduate of Rutgers University.
