BuzzFeed has hired Scott Lucas as deputy editor for tech and business.
He replaces Samantha Oltman, who left to become editor in chief of Recode
Lucas has been a senior editor for San Francisco magazine and politics editor for The Las Vegas Sun. He has also written for Politico Magazine, The Economist and The Washington Post.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal-Berkeley and a master’s degree from Cal-San Diego.
