BusinessDen reporter leaving for California paper

Amy DiPierro

Amy DiPierro, a reporter at business news site BusinessDen.com in Denver, is leaving for a job in California.

DiPierro’s reporting at BusinessDen ranged from tracking the biggest nonprofits in town to checking out the latest real estate deals and keeping her eye on the local startup scene.

Her new job is with the The Desert Sun in Palm Springs.

DiPierro was a 2015 Dow Jones News Fund Business Reporting intern working at TheStreet.com. Previously, she wrote for WHYY-News in Philadelphia and was a reporter at War News Radio.

She graduated from Swarthmore College with a major in economics and history.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
