Miriam Gottfried, who has been working on The Wall Street Journal’s “Heard on the Street” team, is moving to a new beat.
Gottfried is joining the deals team as its private equity and restructuring reporter.
For the “Heard on the Street” column, Gottfried wrote analysis and commentary about investing in media, telecommunications and retail companies.
Before that, she spent three years at Barron’s magazine, writing weekly features that made a case for, or against, investment in a stock or sector. She also wrote a daily morning feature called “Barron’s Take” assessing the investment opportunities arising from a stock that is moving.
Gottfried has also written for SmartMoney, Forbes, Crain’s Chicago Business and The Oregonian.
She graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2009 with a concentration in business and economics.
